Corporate Massage Services

One call can bring chair massage directly to your company. Your seated massage won't disrupt your workday, as it takes place directly through your clothing. Ten to fifteen minutes is all it takes-about the same as a smoke/coffee break. The therapist brings a portable massage chair and sets up in very little space. As you melt into the chair, the therapist massages your neck, shoulders, back and arms - taking the stress right out of you!

Employees feel more in control of their job. Massage reduces stress and fatigue, boosting energy and alertness, invigorating as it loosens tense muscles and stimulates circulation.

Employees improve working relationships and feel more relaxed, handling situations quickly and easily. Massage promotes clear, calm thinking, enhancing the ability to think and concentrate as the circulation of oxygen-rich blood to the brain and body is increased, increasing focus, patience and concentration.

Wellness program. The therapist can show you exercises, which can alleviate some of the pain of chronic job-related conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome. She can also make suggestions regarding the positioning of your computer system to safely fit your specific needs.

The Facts about Whiplash

"An 8 mile/hour rear-end collision produced a 2-G acceleration of the vehicle and a 5-G acceleration of the head, occurring within the span of 300 micro seconds (.3 sec) or less" "in some cases, the head may accelerate up to five times the input acceleration"1

"At an impact speed of 20 mph the human head reaches a peak acceleration of 12-G during extension."2

Acceleration depends on the force applied and the inertia of the vehicle that has been struck. The force is dependent upon the weight and speed of the striking vehicle, so that a streetcar traveling at 3 mph can apply as much force and initiate the same degree of acceleration as a compact car traveling at 40 mph. The inertia of the car that has been struck will depend not only on its weight but also on factors that will allow it to roll easily; for example, slippery road conditions, whether the brakes were on, automatic or standard transmission. A car that is moving slowly will accelerate more rapidly than one that is stationary."3

The amount of damage sustained by the car bears little relationship to the force applied. To take an extreme example: If the car was struck in concrete, the damage sustained might be very great but the occupants would not be injured because the car could not move forward, whereas on ice, the damage to the car could be slight but the injuries sustained might be severe because of the rapid acceleration permitted."3

The diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of this complex condition involving multiple other factors such as occupant awareness, head position (i.e., rotation), type of collision (i.e., side, rear, front), type and location of symptoms, and exam and X-ray findings).
